Comics from the backlog

It's been a busy few weeks with a conference and travel, and all of a sudden my daughter turns one this month! One! Whole year! Since I was so pregnant I could burst! And then did!

In place of a longer written piece, the belated May edition is a backlog of some comics I've drawn and not shared. I've been trying to capture ideas in visual form more frequently, even if rough. The whole goal with these this year is to work out visual layouts and storytelling, and to practice 'done is better than perfect'. I draw quite a bit but I'm actually not great at drawing from my brain (I'm one of those people without a 'mind's eye'), so it's also fun to try working without a reference.
